So the River Bank Run went great last weekend remember? If you don’t recall, I’ll give you a quick refresher…and I mean QUICK because I HATE talking about myself.

I went downtown Grand Rapids at about 7:00AM last Saturday to run the biggest 5K in the state with about 16,000 other participants and had a blast pretty much…who doesn’t like to run downtown on the streets with them closed off when in a normal situation you’d get blasted by oncoming traffic…haha I love that.

Well they posted some recent pics and apparently I was the poster-child for dorkdom…check it out; this is before the race and that is I, Derek, King of all Morons:

Just look at those sexy lip-licking smackers as I probably take an awful joke from a desperate on-looker…man I’m a weirdo; that’s why I love me. 

Well here’s a little ribbon I got…not sure if I was supposed to get it or what but they gave it to me and it made me feel super special inside:

But seriously; about our health…man I had a great time! What an excellent way to get outside, get active, meet some people, joke around, have some fun, be cheered for, and just feel all warm and fuzzy inside all while getting a nice little workout! You should try it; it’s great.
