Emotions and Eating

One of the most horrible yet common disorders that many of us have in common is when we tend to eat out of pure boredom or stress. Think about your different emotional responses:
1. accomplishment
2. depression
3. stress
Emotional responses cause triggers in our brains and bodies, causing the feeling of hunger and sometimes overeating…if you identify with reaching for a snack or meal with any of the above responses…read on.
It’s simply called “emotional eating”…and that’s exactly what it is. Emotional eaters dig in as soon as they feel the sensation of anger, happiness, accomplishment, stress, or depression; and even though most of us only participate on occasion, it can become a huge problem and even an addiction.
Is this a massive diet wrecker? In my opinion, you betcha…it can lead to long-term health issues down the road such as high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, and high cholesterol. To learn more, please leave your thoughts and begin the discussion of personal experiences.

True; smoking will probably decrease your appetite and distract you from eating…but I just can’t promote it as the owner of a fitness blog…sorry to say. I’ve smoked when I was younger and although I won’t deny its excitement, there are more healthful ways of keeping the weight off.
