Put Your Energy into High Gear

Everyone knows that a lack of energy can pause or destroy your day. You’re looking forward to activities later on in the day; and then when the time comes to do those things…you’re just way too bushed to do much more than lift an elbow from the couch. There’s a million reasons for lack of energy…but the main one is stress.
Here’s how to replenish your energy stores and lower stress levels:
1. eat a big breakfast
The body needs fuel at certain times of the day…it responds to not only what you eat but also when you eat…eating a large and healthy breakfast contributes energy to your entire day.
2. snack often and healthful
It’s easy to get an energy fix from a quick source such as energy drinks or coffee (sugar and caffeine), but the best sources are healthful snacks that provide quality energy all day long such as nuts, granola, fruit, and protein…eat the right snacks and you’ll rocket through the day.
3. get rid of toxins
Another cause of the low amounts of energy experienced can be toxins in your system…the easiest way to flush them out? Water…duh. Drink water, pee more; drink tea as well…your body will be cleansed and free from harmful carcinogens that drain your stores of energy.
4. sit up straight
Having the correct posture increases oxygen flow to your body and promotes good circulation…if you slouch, your stomach is compressed and blood flow decreases. Sit up straight!
5. exercise regularly
Creating the right amount of sustainable energy creates work and stamina build-up…the best way to accomplish the feat is to exercise and work your body out on a regular enough basis so that your blood flow increases, toxins are sweated out, and energy is used wisely by your body on a daily basis.
