Video Tip: The Midday Craaaash
Another great night of natural exercise tonight…just came home from an 8-yard (how you measure mulch) job at my grandparents house…my friend John has a landscaping side business and we throw in a job here and there in the evening. He usually does the mulch spreading and I just focus on shoveling and bringing the wheel-barrow to where it needs to be dumped; talk about a great natural workout…try doing mulch for 2 hours…it’s worth a nice sweat.
Tonight’s video tip deals with the crappy midday crash you sometimes experience between ohhh let’s say 1 and 3PM…you can completely avoid it by choosing the right things for lunch…check out the video:
If you’re looking to stay energetic and avoid the crash you experience in the middle of your work day, try skipping most carbohydrates in order to avoid serotonins. Serotonins relax you and get you ready for a niiiice little nap…the opposite of what you want during the afternoon board meeting.
Substitute crabs and sodium with high-protein and high fiber snacks. Eat some peanut butter, hard-boiled eggs, tuna salad, chili, or any type of lean chicken (snack wraps from McDonald’s actually work here). You should feel a lot better after lunch and be ready to tackle to the rest of the day. Good luck trying it out tomorrow.
