Healthy Eating…Where to Start

Any idiot can talk about eating healthier and getting into peak physical shape…but the hardest part of weight loss, good eating, or any project in general is Getting Started.

The best way to start eating healthier is to think of a scale; not in the sense of what you weigh yourself on, but more in the nature of having balance. Using a variety of foods from the basic Food Pyramid scheme includes:

- meats and proteins
- dairy products
- fruits and vegetables
- pastas and grains
- fats, sugars, and sweets

Of course, balancing your body is always a more simple task as spoken than done…the previous summer from last, I had tried to manually balance my body’s vitamins and substances through mass herbal andWeight Gainer supplemental contribution only to find that when I bought a new supplement, it would require another mineral to help if function (and so on)…this went on for about 3 months until I had a stack of supplements now costing me on average of $250 per month…Next solution please.

It’s also not always the easiest task to get the complete nutrition needed on a daily basis for your body to perform at its best. The more foods you eat from one food group, the easier it is to fill up and neglect another…so be careful here when you start (especially when it comes to convenience over quality).

If you’re going to start a healthy eating pattern, it WILL require time, effort, and planning; so make sure you go into this with realistic expectations; keep in mind that poor planning can lead to lack of balance in your food group nutrients and mediocre results.

So paying attention to which food groups you are eating out of is just as important as what you eat and when you eat in a health-related manner. Keeping a personal journal (such as Weight Watchers) can be extremely valuable in the documentation and improvement of your nutritional journey.

You’ll find that with proper intake and documentation, it’s still going to be difficult to meet a perfect balance every day; but as time goes by, weeks will balance out and eventually the daily intake will near perfection…it just takes some time as with most projects and goals will throughout life. Documentation will tell you exactly where you currently are in regards to eating habits and how to get to where you want to be. The initial results could be surprising…usually just a few small tweaks can balance out one’s diet intake and show a nice variety of healthy and nutritious foods.
